Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Ciprianni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilas has chosen Remember The Name - Fort Minor as his entrance music. Neil Gilas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Neil Gilas!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilas lands a head shot.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ciprianni stalling away here and it's allowed Gilas to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Gilas lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Gilas.
Gilas is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Gilas gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Gilas gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Gilas apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Ciprianni throws a hook to the side of Gilas's head but Gilas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ciprianni stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ciprianni takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gilas throws a lazy right hand but Ciprianni sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gilas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ciprianni pinned against the cage. Ciprianni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Danny Ciprianni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neil Gilas.

Gilas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ciprianni to the mat! Ciprianni manages to get full guard.

Gilas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ciprianni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gilas has managed to get both his arms back between Ciprianni's legs - danger averted.
