Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruno Aires!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruce Brady!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aires closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Aires slips a jab from Brady.
A little feinted left hand from Aires on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Brady misses with an uppercut.
Aires defending well as Brady loads up on a big left hand.
Aires scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brady in his tracks.
Brady throws a hook to the side of Aires's head but Aires sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brady ducks under a wild hook from Aires.
Brady just misses with a punch to the body.
Brady throws a series of punches but Aires moves out of range.
We've been informed that Brady has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Aires throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Brady misses with a looping left.
Aires's jab looks to have found its range, popping Brady under the eye.
Brady tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aires was well out of range. Poor timing from Brady.
Aires looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Aires throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Aires dodges the punch combination from Brady.
Aires keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brady waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Aires.

Brady thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brady works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Brady misses with a looping left.
Brady throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A big right from Brady misses.
Brady scores with a jab. Aires acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Aires looks to land a left hand but Brady moved out of range nicely.

It looked like Aires wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brady lands a nice looking body shot.
Aires misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brady.
Brady tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aires was well out of range. Poor timing from Brady.
Aires on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Brady takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brady throws a right hand that Aires ducks under and follows up with a left that Aires also avoids with ease.
Aires takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brady swings for the body but Aires moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brady throws a looping overhand right but Aires ducks down to avoid it.
Aires staying out of range there.
A swing and a miss from Brady.
A looping hook to the body misses from Aires. Brady does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brady rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aires moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Aires steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brady.
Nice body punch from Brady.
Aires waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brady.
Brady swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brady lands a nice shot to the body.
Brady wants to clinch.
Brady swings for the body but Aires moves out of range.
Brady tries to clinch up but Aires circles away and keeps his distance.
Aires is looking to counter punch.
Brady paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A low kick from Aires is predictable there
and Brady counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Aires ducks under a wild hook from Brady.
Aires jabs at Brady's body.
The fighters circling - Brady throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brady scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Aires gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Brady counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brady scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Aires doesn't seem bothered though.
Aires is breathing heavily.
Brady misses with a straight left.
Brady defending well as Aires loads up on a big left hand.
Aires on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brady loads up on a big right hand but Aires slips the punch.
Brady throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aires is rocked!
Brady is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Aires had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Brady closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Aires! Brady dives in looking to finish! Aires is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Brady!
Bruce Brady decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
