The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jeremy, pushing him back against the cage.
Jeremy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Smith.

Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Smith tries to work over Jeremy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smith prevents a body shot from Jeremy.
Smith working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

It looks like Roy Jeremy has been cut.

Jeremy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jeremy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jeremy throws out a leg kick but Smith moves out of range and Jeremy only half commits.
Jeremy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith gets tackled into the cage by Jeremy. Jeremy maintains the clinch.
Smith pushes Jeremy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Smith tries to throw a body punch but Jeremy avoids it by throwing Smith back against the cage.
Smith lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jeremy.

Jeremy shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jeremy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Smith engages and cracks Jeremy with a massive lead left hook - Jeremy tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Smith is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
