Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oleg Kravichenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lalla Danda!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Kravichenko.
Danda tries for a takedown but Kravichenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Danda takes one on the button.
Danda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kravichenko throws a lazy right hand but Danda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jab, jab by Kravichenko - just one landing.
The fighters circling - Kravichenko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kravichenko throws out a powerful jab.
Oleg Kravichenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danda darts in trying to clinch
and Kravichenko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Danda is looking to clinch but Kravichenko is avoiding it.
Danda scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kravichenko pushes Danda away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Danda gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Danda wants to control but Kravichenko is keeping him busy.
We've been hearing good reports from Kravichenko's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Danda tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kravichenko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Danda trying to control the action but Kravichenko is working from the bottom.
Kravichenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Danda on the ground.
Kravichenko explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Danda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kravichenko.
Danda takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kravichenko misses with a few strikes there.
Kravichenko slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kravichenko slaps away a takedown attempt from Danda, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Oleg Kravichenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lalla Danda.
Kravichenko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Danda's hands.
Danda is rocked!
Kravichenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Danda is still on wobbly legs! Can Kravichenko finish him?
Danda looks winded!
Kravichenko fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Danda square on the jaw! Damn, Danda is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oleg Kravichenko!
A relieved looking Oleg Kravichenko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
