Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Blitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Darmody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Blitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Darmody!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darmody circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blitz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Darmody misses with a double jab.
Blitz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blitz avoids a punch combination nicely.
A combination from Darmody does no damage.
A little feinted left hand from Blitz on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Darmody tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blitz was well out of range. Poor timing from Darmody.
Darmody throws a sloppy body shot
and Blitz counters with a series of strikes. Darmody will be more careful next time no doubt.
Darmody takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Blitz tries to clinch there but Darmody circles away.
Darmody changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Blitz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Darmody unleashes a big counter combination but Blitz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Darmody tries a low kick but Blitz avoids it.
Darmody lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blitz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Blitz lands a big head kick that sends Darmody tumbling to the mat! Blitz takes a step backwards and waves Darmody back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Darmody is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blitz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Darmody is still on wobbly legs! Can Blitz finish him?

Blitz moves into the clinch successfully.
Darmody throws a head punch that misses.
Blitz is looking for a takedown.

Blitz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blitz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Darmody swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Darmody misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blitz.
Blitz lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Darmody crumples to the floor! Blitz milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Blitz!
John Blitz gave a mention to Mohito Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
James Darmody was interviewed post fight and said 'I blame God for this loss. He wasn't with me tonight, he usually is, but he must be mad at me or something, I dunno'.
