Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Kopp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brent Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Kopp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Kopp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brent Brandon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon shoots in but no luck this time.

Kopp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kopp lands in his opponent's guard.
Kopp is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brandon has his foot on Kopp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kopp works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kopp lands a couple of digs.

Kopp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brandon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brandon has momentary wrist control but Kopp slips an elbow through the middle.

Kopp stands up over Brandon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brandon wants to sweep but no luck.
Kopp postures up and lands a big shot to Brandon's brow.

Brandon is rocked!

Brandon has momentary wrist control but Kopp slips an elbow through the middle.
Brandon is still in real trouble! Can Kopp finish him?
Kopp cracks Brandon with a solid left hand.
Kopp with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kopp gets to his feet and stands over Brandon, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Brandon felt that one! Kopp unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Brandon from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Kopp!
