Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oscar Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Sagat!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sagat moves into the clinch.
Sagat lands a good knee to the midsection. Randolph won't want to take too many of those.
Randolph wants to break free but Sagat has control.

Sagat decides to pull guard.
Sagat pulls Randolph in close to prevent any damage.
Randolph throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sagat looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Randolph throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sagat is adopting a defensive guard.

Sagat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sagat managing to control the position.

Sagat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Randolph manages to get himself to full guard.

Randolph might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sagat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sagat is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Sagat passes Randolph's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Randolph tries to roll over but Sagat keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sagat controlling the pace.

Randolph wants to get back to full guard but Sagat has mounted him!

Sagat looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Sagat avoids the attempt from Randolph to control.
Randolph is in all sorts of trouble here.
Randolph tries to control the position but Sagat now has his back.
Sagat throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sagat really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Randolph.

Randolph is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sagat gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Randolph's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Randolph could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sagat controlling from the back.

Sagat has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Good control from Sagat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Sagat dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Randolph gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Randolph tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sagat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sagat wants to control but Randolph is keeping him busy.

Sagat stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Randolph shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sagat as he jumps to the side.

Sagat closes the distance and clinches.

Randolph wants to get back to striking at distance but Sagat won't allow it.

Sagat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sagat changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Randolph looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Randolph sneaks out the side door and pushes Sagat away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Brock Sagat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Randolph has his takedown stuffed
and Sagat counters with a stiff right hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sagat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sagat showed some decent athleticism there.
Brock Sagat has got the better of the ground game so far.
Randolph is looking to get back to full guard here but Sagat has managed to pass to side control instead.

Sagat stands up and beckons Randolph to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Sagat. Those never looked like landing.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sagat!


It looks like Oscar Randolph has been cut.

Sagat closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sagat manages to break the clinch.
Randolph checks a low kick from Sagat.
Randolph shoots in for a takedown but Sagat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Randolph. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sagat gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sagat keeps control of Randolph as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sagat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Sagat! Randolph is out on his feet! Sagat rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Randolph is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Randolph is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Sagat!
