Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Machine Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Battistoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Machine Gun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carson Battistoni!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battistoni connects with a looping right hand.
Battistoni misses with an uppercut.
Battistoni looks to land a left hand but Gun moved out of range nicely.
Battistoni misses with a body shot.
Gun was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gun walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gun staying out of range there.
Gun bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Battistoni bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gun's head.
Battistoni throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gun on the side of the head.
Gun waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Battistoni.
Battistoni jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Battistoni fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gun on the side of the head.

letting Gun counter with a right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gun on the wrong end of a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Battistoni throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Battistoni misses with a lunging right hand
and Gun connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Battistoni has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Battistoni throws a looping overhand right but Gun ducks down to avoid it.
Battistoni swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gun counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carson Battistoni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A shot to the liver by Battistoni. Beautiful body shot.
Battistoni looks to throw the jab but Gun is out of range.
Gun slips a straight right by Battistoni.
Gun went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gun takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Battistoni looks to land a right hand but Gun moved out of range.
Battistoni throws a lazy right hand but Gun sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gun was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Battistoni misses with a hook. Gun ducked under it nicely.
Gun wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Battistoni fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gun looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Battistoni rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Battistoni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gun steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Battistoni.

Battistoni throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Battistoni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Battistoni might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Gun clinches.
The referee calls for Battistoni to work.
I was talking to Gun's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Battistoni breaks from the clinch.
Battistoni lands a lovely overhand right.
Battistoni misses with a hook
and Gun counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Battistoni throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Battistoni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gun keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Gun is looking to counter punch.
Gun on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Battistoni. Battistoni obviously looking to wear him down.
Gun takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Battistoni throws a poor cross that misses
and Gun counters with a stiff right hand.
Battistoni lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
An inside leg kick from Battistoni misses.
Battistoni throws a body punch but Gun moves out of range.

Gun ducks under a wild hook from Battistoni.
Battistoni misses with a right hand
and Gun counters with a straight right hand.
Gun uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Battistoni.
As Battistoni tries to get set, Gun tries to push him back and clinch up but Battistoni manages to avoid the attempt.
Battistoni just misses with a punch to the body.
Gun seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Battistoni lands a glancing blow to the side of Gun's head.
Battistoni attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Gun is looking to counter punch.
The fighters circling - Battistoni throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It looked like Gun was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gun takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gun ducks under a wild hook from Battistoni.
It looked like Gun wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Battistoni throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gun checks a leg kick.
Battistoni connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Battistoni rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Battistoni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gun walks straight into a right hand from Battistoni - that's dropped him! Battistoni jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gun from any more punishment! Gun complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Carson Battistoni!
Carson Battistoni seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
