Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Maroga throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Johnson blocks it with crossed arms.
Maroga manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Maroga lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Maroga slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Maroga gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch.
Maroga tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnson lands an elbow just above Maroga 's eye.

It looks like Lance Maroga has been cut.
Johnson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Maroga's defenses.

Maroga jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Maroga around his waist. Maroga gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Johnson has Maroga pressed against the cage. He pushes Maroga back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Johnson throws a beautiful elbow that sends Maroga crashing to the floor! Johnson piles on the pressure with more strikes! Maroga is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sic Johnson!
