Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ripp Arrm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Silverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Silverson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Silverson!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silverson moves into the clinch.

Arrm darts in and clinches Silverson up against the cage.

Arrm fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silverson manages to avoid it.

Arrm has Silverson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Arrm pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silverson tumbling to the mat - Arrm dives into Silverson's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Silverson tries to move into range but Arrm moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Arrm shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silverson's guard.

Arrm has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silverson's face.

Silverson is desperately trying to improve his position but Arrm has a good base and remains in mount.
Silverson wants to hold on but Arrm pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silverson is trying to reverse the position but instead Arrm has taken his back - oops!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silverson is trapped and Arrm is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Arrm is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silverson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Arrm somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Arrm would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Arrm throws a strike but Silverson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Arrm has his foot on Silverson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silverson works his way back into a safe position though.
