Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ramses Kolmas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santiago Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolmas scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kolmas scores with a jab to the head.
Gracie connects with the punch.
Kolmas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gracie.
Gracie misses with an uppercut. Kolmas saw that one coming.
Gracie scores with a jab to the jaw.


It looks like Ramses Kolmas has been cut.
Gracie misses with a straight right.
Kolmas leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kolmas dodges the punch combination from Gracie.
An inside leg kick lands from Kolmas.

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Kolmas is defending well.

Gracie is thwarting Kolmas's attempts to control the position.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Kolmas is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kolmas defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Kolmas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kolmas is concentrating on defense, preventing Gracie from advancing position.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kolmas trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Gracie is looking to advance position but Kolmas won't allow it.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kolmas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kolmas pushes down on Gracie's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gracie on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santiago Gracie dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ramses Kolmas's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kolmas misses with a head kick.

Kolmas misses with a kick to the body.
Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kolmas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kolmas throws a wild body kick that Gracie sees coming a mile off.
Gracie tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kolmas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gracie checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A clash of legs there as Gracie blocks the low kick.
Kolmas lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Gracie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kolmas's hands.
Kolmas misses with a wild body shot.

Kolmas tries to work over Gracie's front leg with a kick but Gracie checks it.
Kolmas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kolmas throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A jab from Gracie misses.
Gracie misses with an uppercut
and Kolmas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gracie blocks a leg kick.
Kolmas throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kolmas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kolmas chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kolmas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Kolmas.
Kolmas cracks the inside of Gracie's front leg.
Gracie missing with a left hand there. Kolmas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie throws a hook to the side of Kolmas's head but Kolmas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gracie checks a leg kick nicely.

Kolmas feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Kolmas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kolmas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie looking for subs off his back but Kolmas has passed one foot through into half guard.

Kolmas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kolmas slips a nice elbow through Gracie's hands, connecting with Gracie's forehead.

Gracie actively working from the bottom here.
Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kolmas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kolmas stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kolmas!

Kolmas lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kolmas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kolmas pulls his head out easily.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Kolmas wants to pass to mount but Gracie is defending the position.

Kolmas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gracie drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kolmas defends it well.
Kolmas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kolmas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gracie.
Gracie tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Gracie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kolmas to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gracie working a defensive guard but Kolmas manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kolmas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?

Gracie has hold of Kolmas's hands but Kolmas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kolmas trying to mount his opponent but Gracie defends it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kolmas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracie for as long as he can get away with.

Ramses Kolmas showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kolmas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
