The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chartier with a hook.
Chartier fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Payne's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chartier connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Payne scrambles back to his feet.
Some bone on bone action there as Payne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Payne rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chartier counters with a straight right hand.
Payne looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Payne dodges the punch combination from Chartier.
Payne looks to land a right hand but Chartier moved out of range.
Payne checks a leg kick.
Payne throws a counter combo.
Donald Chartier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payne lunges at Chartier with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chartier's hand.
Payne avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Chartier definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chartier tries to land a leg kick but Payne saw it coming and moves away.
Chartier throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Chartier scores with a crisp jab that stopped Payne in his tracks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Payne takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Payne shoots for a takedown but Chartier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Chartier swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Payne.

Payne throws a right hand that Chartier ducks under and follows up with a left that Chartier also avoids with ease.
Chartier throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Chartier drops Payne with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Payne looks back up at him and smiles so Chartier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Payne is rocked!
Chartier throws a leg kick but Payne checks it.
Payne is still on wobbly legs! Can Chartier finish him?
Chartier drops Payne with a naaaaasty hook - Payne is in real trouble here! Chartier dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
