Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuzan Aokiji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shephard might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to You All Everybody. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aokiji fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shephard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Shephard was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kuzan Aokiji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been informed that Aokiji has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

It looked like Shephard wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That kick from Aokiji tenderised Shephard's leg. Shephard is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jack Shephard decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
