Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chandinho Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Thurmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thurmond has chosen Black Skinhead as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Thurmond!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thurmond misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thurmond shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A head kick by Thurmond misses
and Silva counters with a one-two to the body.
Thurmond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva is looking to counter punch.
Thurmond swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Thurmond throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Thurmond throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a straight right hand.
Thurmond misses with a hook to the body
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva lands a left and a right that sends Thurmond crashing to the canvas! Silva dives into mount looking to finish!
Thurmond is rocked!
It looks like Joe Thurmond has been cut.
Thurmond is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Thurmond is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?
Thurmond looks winded!
Poor strikes thrown by Silva there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Thurmond seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The referee warns Thurmond that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Thurmond is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Silva lands a heavy elbow.
Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thurmond is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thurmond blocking the ground and pound.

Thurmond takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Silva tries to control but Thurmond wriggling away.
Silva looking to finish Thurmond with some ground and pound. This is bad for Thurmond!
Thurmond tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva lands a big elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thurmond takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Silva's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
