Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocket Bob Frankels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frankels has chosen Dawn....Summer Solstice... as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocket Bob Frankels!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankels throws a lazy right hand but Marley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Marley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Frankels.
Marley lands with a cross.
Marley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Frankels throws out the jab.
A big left from Frankels misses.
Marley appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Frankels just misses with a punch to the body.
Frankels scores with a crisp jab that stopped Marley in his tracks.
Marley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Frankels breaks from the clinch.
Frankels displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marley throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frankels takes a jab right on the kisser.
Marley looks to land a left hand but Frankels moved out of range nicely.
Frankels only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Marley misses with an uppercut
and Frankels counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Frankels throws a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frankels throws a leg kick which misses Marley's front leg but catches the back leg as Marley tries to avoid it.
Good leg kick by Frankels there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Marley takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marley has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice shot lands for Frankels.
Marley throws a head kick that Frankels semi-blocks.
It looks like Rocket Bob Frankels has been cut.
Marley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frankels uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marley.
Marley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frankels sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Frankels on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Marley misses with a wild body shot.
Frankels takes a swing at Marley's ribcage but misses.
Marley avoids the head kick by Frankels.
Frankels scores with a jab to the body.
Frankels swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marley throwing a counter right hand but Frankels manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Frankels! But no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frankels sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Frankels fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Marley on the side of the head.
It looks like James Marley has been cut.
Frankels lands a big right hand that sends Marley crashing to the mat! Frankels stays standing though and waves Marley back to his feet!
Frankels flashes Marley a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Marley's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Marley crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Frankels punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rocket Bob Frankels!
After the fight, Rocket Bob Frankels was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
