Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Altin Ademaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Guzman had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hugo Guzman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Altin Ademaj!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guzman forces Ademaj back against the cage and clinches.

Ademaj works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Guzman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ademaj manages to get himself to full guard.

Ademaj is trying to hold Guzman in close to prevent damage but Guzman has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guzman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Guzman connects with a nice short shot to Ademaj's temple.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Guzman is staying active underneath Ademaj, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guzman is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guzman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Guzman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ademaj has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guzman has managed to get both his arms back between Ademaj's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ademaj throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guzman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ademaj is in Guzman's guard.

Guzman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ademaj defends it easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ademaj working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guzman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
