The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowers misses with a jab, cross combination.
Potter throws out a counter right but Bowers avoids it with no problem.
Potter misses with a few strikes there.
Potter wants to clinch.
Potter lands with a kick to the temple. Bowers shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Potter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Potter scores with the left hand. Bowers knows he should have avoided that one.
Potter lands with a straight right. Bowers didn't see that one coming.
Potter throws a body punch but Bowers moves out of range.
Potter misses with a series of wild punches.
Potter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Potter throws a leg kick which misses Bowers's front leg but catches the back leg as Bowers tries to avoid it.

Bowers feints and as Potter raises his hands in defense, Bowers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Potter wants to stand but Bowers is controlling the position.

Potter looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bowers is defending well. Potter quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bowers has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Potter celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
