The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambo misses with a series of wild punches.

Guthrie gets tackled into the cage by Rambo. Rambo maintains the clinch.

It looks like Leland Guthrie has been cut.
Guthrie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rambo to keep the fight standing.
Rambo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Guthrie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rambo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rambo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Guthrie is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Guthrie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Guthrie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rambo wants to control but Guthrie is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rambo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Guthrie haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Rambo tries to improve his position but Guthrie has taken his back! Guthrie has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rambo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Guthrie pushes Rambo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
