Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dido Vicini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vicini comes to the cage accompanied by Sweet Soul Sister. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panther manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vicini on his heels. He'll look to pass Vicini's guard now, I'm sure.

Vicini is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Vicini escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Panther gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Panther chips away with some ground and pound.

Vicini is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Panther defends well.

Panther stands up over Vicini, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Vicini might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Panther is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vicini is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Panther frees his head nicely. Oh but Vicini has switched to an armbar! Panther is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
