Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Loblaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Gore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Loblaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Igor Gore!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gore throws out a loose jab but Loblaw uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gore misses with a looping right.
Loblaw dodges the punch combination from Gore.
A big left from Gore misses.
Gore throws the left hand but Loblaw avoids the punch easily.

Loblaw scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Loblaw drops an elbow to the side of Gore's head.
Loblaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Loblaw is looking for a kimura but Gore is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Loblaw to get the leverage.

Gore looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Loblaw trying to mount his opponent but Gore defends it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Loblaw connects with a nice short shot to Gore's temple.
Loblaw wants to pass to mount but Gore is defending the position.
Loblaw sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gore defending well though.
Gore is not content to let Loblaw control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loblaw lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.


Gore is rocked!
Gore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loblaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Loblaw prevents Gore from improving his position.

Loblaw is pressing down on Gore's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gore is holding on for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gore is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Loblaw's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Loblaw's back!
You can see the frustration on Loblaw's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Gore throws a shot from downtown. Loblaw moves away and avoids it.
Loblaw defending well as Gore loads up on a big left hand.
Gore stuffs the takedown attempt from Loblaw. Loblaw gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Loblaw throws a nice outside leg kick.
Loblaw fails with a takedown attempt.
Gore throws a hook to the side of Loblaw's head but Loblaw sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gore slow jab from Loblaw misses its intended target.
Gore is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Horrible takedown by Loblaw or perhaps it was just good defense by Gore which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Loblaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gore misses with a two punch combination.
Loblaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gore as he jumps to the side.
Loblaw shoots in for a takedown but Gore shows good takedown defense.
Gore throws a nice looking combination but Loblaw bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Loblaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gore's guard.

Gore is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Loblaw wants to pass the guard but Gore is keeping the position.

Gore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Loblaw wants to control from the top but Gore keeps moving.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gore has eaten all the pies!

Loblaw avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gore had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Loblaw is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gore Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Loblaw's back instead.
A lull in the action here.
Loblaw rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Loblaw slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loblaw striking off his back but it's not causing Gore any problems.
Loblaw manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gore manages to get himself to full guard.

Gore looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gore is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gore can do anything to dispel that myth.
Loblaw pushing down on Gore's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Gore is trying to stand up here but Loblaw is controlling him well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Loblaw dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Loblaw displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gore throws out the jab.
Loblaw moves in looking to clinch but Gore pushes him off.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gore.

Gore tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gore has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Loblaw is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gore off and has taken his back!

Loblaw is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Gore wants to get back to his feet.

Gore is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Loblaw off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Will Loblaw go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Loblaw has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Gore is in real trouble here. Loblaw gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Gore is tapping out! Loblaw wins by rear naked choke!
