The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mulqvist's sensitive parts.
Khalid Hayes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mulqvist takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mulqvist throws a body shot but no joy.
Mulqvist is looking to score with low kicks.
Hayes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mulqvist.
Hayes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mulqvist buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mulqvist misses with a body shot.
Hayes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mulqvist is out of range.
Mulqvist let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes lands a nice shot to the body.
Hayes will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hayes - that will leave a mark!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circle, before Hayes throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Mulqvist's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hayes lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Khalid Hayes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
