Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akamai Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Newmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blood Red Sky. Newmark has chosen On the run as his entrance music. Bobby Newmark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hoi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Newmark - the referee stops the clock and Hoi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Newmark. Hoi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hoi throws a shot from downtown. Newmark moves away and avoids it.
Newmark paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Newmark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoi.
Hoi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Newmark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Newmark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hoi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akamai Hoi.
Well Hoi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
