Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gusthavo De Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gusthavo De Jesus!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Jesus shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
De Jesus is trying to control the action in half guard but Parker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
De Jesus not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Parker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parker.

Parker throws his legs up looking for a submission but De Jesus uses it to pass to side control.

De Jesus decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Jesus misses with a straight right.
Parker attempts a counter takedown but De Jesus avoids it well and moves away.
Parker moves out of range of the body kick from De Jesus.

Parker gets caught flat footed, as De Jesus shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Parker will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
De Jesus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Parker is looking for a triangle but De Jesus pushes his legs off easily.

Parker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Jesus escapes and throws Parker's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Parker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
De Jesus wants to control but Parker is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker regains half guard, as De Jesus was trying to land strikes.
De Jesus stalling away here and it's allowed Parker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

De Jesus stops Parker from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Jesus is trying to control. Parker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

De Jesus with the ground and pound but Parker uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Parker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Jesus escapes and throws Parker's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Parker looks to move to half guard but instead De Jesus has passed into mount! Damn!
Parker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Parker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Jesus sprawls well. De Jesus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parker gets slowly back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
De Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Parker half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by De Jesus.
De Jesus stuns Parker with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

De Jesus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Parker explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Parker swats away the attempt to clinch by De Jesus.
De Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Parker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

De Jesus gets a double leg takedown into Parker's guard.

Parker manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

De Jesus gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Parker looking for submissions off his back.
Parker lands with a few short shots to the body.

De Jesus is looking to take a break and control but Parker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

De Jesus stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
De Jesus is looking to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Parker bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

De Jesus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Parker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

De Jesus darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Parker makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


De Jesus throws a head kick but Parker moves out of range.

De Jesus shoots in and bounces Parker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Parker has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. De Jesus is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Parker.

De Jesus has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Parker!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parker tries to reverse the position but De Jesus maintains control.
Parker slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Parker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Parker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

De Jesus has gone for a leg lock! Parker slips out almost immediately though and dives into De Jesus's guard.

Parker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Parker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

De Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Parker feinted with a counter takedown.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Gusthavo De Jesus.
I think De Jesus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
