The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ashton appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Ashton closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Owens did well to prevent Ashton getting side control.

Ashton tries to pass to full mount but Owens defends it.

Owens is looking for a sweep. Ashton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
