Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alonso Mckee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Banderas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Banderas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alonso Mckee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alonso Mckee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio Banderas!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banderas drives through with a takedown into Mckee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Banderas throws a big elbow that misses.
Banderas wants to control from the top but Mckee keeps moving.
Banderas is in close to Mckee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Banderas trying to control the position from guard on top but Mckee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mckee really is a fat lump.
Mckee is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banderas gets to his feet - Mckee follows without any prompting.

Banderas gets the takedown into side control.

Mckee sneaks out the side door and pushes Banderas away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Banderas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mckee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Banderas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Mckee avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Banderas.

Banderas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mckee has escaped the position, nice work there.
Banderas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mckee keeps working.
Banderas in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Banderas wants to stand up but Mckee has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Banderas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mckee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Banderas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Banderas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mckee's guard.

Mckee pushes Banderas off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Alonso Mckee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Banderas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Banderas darts in and clinches Mckee up against the cage.
Banderas wants to get back to striking at distance but Mckee won't allow it.
Mckee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Banderas manages to break the clinch.

Mckee gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banderas passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mckee is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Antonio Banderas will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mckee pulls guard.
Banderas is looking to work some ground and pound but Mckee has wrist control.
Banderas wants to control from the top but Mckee keeps moving.
Mckee wants to get back to his feet but Banderas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Banderas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Banderas wants to control from the top but Mckee keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Banderas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mckee was covering up waiting for the punch and Banderas finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mckee has control of Banderas's left arm, preventing Banderas from doing any damage.
Banderas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Let's hope that Banderas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Banderas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Antonio Banderas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Banderas throws a body punch but Mckee moves out of range.

Banderas has taken the fight to the clinch.

Banderas has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mckee regains guard immediately.

Mckee has his feet on Banderas's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Banderas punishes Mckee's body with a nice straight punch.
Banderas throws a hook but Mckee avoids it easily.

Mckee gets caught napping as Banderas dives in and scores a takedown. Mckee manages to retain guard.
Banderas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mckee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Banderas is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mckee is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Mckee has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Banderas has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mckee lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Banderas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mckee is trying to pull guard but Banderas turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Banderas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Banderas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mckee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Banderas's guard.


Mckee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mckee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Alonso Mckee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Antonio Banderas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mckee with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

I would just about give that final round to Antonio Banderas.
Well Banderas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
