Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Normand Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joy Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joy Hardy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Hardy.

Dillon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hardy quickly recovers to half guard.
Dillon stops Hardy from getting back to his feet.

Dillon is working for a submission of some sort.
Hardy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardy is looking for a sweep. Dillon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hardy wants to stand back up but Dillon manages to pass into side control.

Dillon takes a little break here. Hardy wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Dillon decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Dillon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hardy kicks off Dillon and gets to his feet.
Joy Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dillon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hardy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hardy tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardy wants to hold on but Dillon pushes him away.
Hardy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dillon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hardy defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Dillon's arms.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dillon is looking for the choke from the back position but Hardy is controlling his hands well.

Dillon lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dillon.

Hardy looking to sit in guard and control but Dillon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hardy wants to stand but Dillon is controlling the position.
Hardy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hardy is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dillon presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Dillon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hardy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dillon to the mat. Dillon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Dillon wants to stand up but Hardy is controlling him.

Dillon wriggles free and stands up.

Hardy forces Dillon back against the cage and clinches.
Dillon is trying to stall.
Dillon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hardy smiles and moves away.

Hardy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hardy lands in his opponent's guard.

Hardy tries to stand but Dillon is controlling from the bottom.

Dillon is looking to stand up but Hardy isn't so interested in that idea.

Joy Hardy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

A head kick misses from Dillon.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hardy enables Dillon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hardy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hardy pushes Dillon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Dillon throws a head kick but Hardy moves out of range.
Hardy with the counter takedown but Dillon avoids it easily.

Dillon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hardy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dillon wants to stand but Hardy is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dillon is trying to stand up here but Hardy is controlling him well.
Hardy wants to free his trapped foot but Dillon is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hardy wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Dillon uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hardy closes the distance and clinches.
Dillon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Hardy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
