The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho shoots in and drives through. Boy sprawls well.
We've been hearing reports that Carvalho has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Good standup being displayed there by Boy as he connects with a hook.
Boy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carvalho moves away.
Jay Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown but Boy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carvalho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nice jab there from Boy.
It looks like Diego Carvalho has been cut.
Boy connects with the punch.
Carvalho closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Carvalho controls the position.
Boy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carvalho connects with a decent elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carvalho is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Boy's shoulder. That is not cool.
Carvalho looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Carvalho is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Boy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Carvalho gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Boy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Carvalho lets go of the hold and Boy can pop his arm back in it's socket.
