Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alla Akbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannibal Lecter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alla Akbar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Alla Akbar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hannibal Lecter!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter throws a jab but it's blocked by Akbar.
Lecter throws a jab when Akbar was well out of range.
Akbar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lecter.

Akbar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lecter, pushing him back against the cage.

Lecter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lecter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Alla Akbar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lecter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lecter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Akbar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lecter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Akbar gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lecter.

Lecter misses the jab.
Akbar tries to counter with a takedown but Lecter is quick to defend against it.
Lecter throws a jab when Akbar was well out of range.
Akbar tries to clinch up.
Akbar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
I was talking to Akbar's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lecter blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Akbar misses with a short punch on the inside.

Lecter tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Akbar's elbow.

Lecter swings wildly with an uppercut but Akbar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lecter is looking for a takedown.

Lecter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A left lands for Akbar.
Lecter throws a big shot that misses.
Lecter lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Alla Akbar has been cut.

Akbar has closed the distance and engaged Lecter in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Akbar.
Akbar tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A head punch on the inside from Akbar fails to land.

Lecter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Akbar misses with a few strikes there.
A lazy left from Lecter finds it's target.
Oh Akbar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Akbar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lecter.
Lecter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Lecter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Akbar finds it's way round the side to connect with Lecter's head.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lecter working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Akbar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Akbar is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lecter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lecter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lecter wants to control from the top but Akbar keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lecter stands up and waves to Akbar to follow him.
Lecter looks to throw the jab but Akbar is out of range.
Akbar feinted with a counter takedown.
Akbar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Akbar there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lecter swats away the attempt to clinch by Akbar.
Lecter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Akbar moves into the clinch.
Akbar blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Lecter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Akbar misses with a looping right.
Lecter throws out a counter right but Akbar avoids it with no problem.
Lecter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Akbar moves in looking to clinch but Lecter pushes him off.
Akbar slips a straight right by Lecter.
Akbar is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Akbar fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lecter throws a hook to the side of Akbar's head but Akbar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Akbar throws a series of punches but Lecter moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lecter! But no joy.
Akbar is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hannibal Lecter dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alla Akbar's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Akbar wants to clinch up but Lecter keeps it at a distance.
Akbar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lecter has time to react.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lecter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lecter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Akbar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Akbar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lecter bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Akbar! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Lecter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Akbar moves out of range as Lecter strikes.

Akbar clinches up with Lecter and pushes him back against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Lecter.
Lecter blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Lecter.
Lecter throws a punch but it's blocked by Akbar.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lecter.

Lecter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lecter throws a monster overhand right that drops Akbar! Lecter follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hannibal Lecter!
Hannibal Lecter seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
