PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jara Wonobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Ringo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Jara Wonobi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jara Wonobi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonobi looks to score with a jab to the body but Ringo is just out of range.
Wonobi lands with an uppercut that bounces Ringo off the ropes and back into range.

It looks like George Ringo has been cut.

Ringo clinches.
Ringo scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ringo misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Ringo manages to break the clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Wonobi.
Wonobi throws a hook to the side of Ringo's head but Ringo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jara Wonobi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ringo connects with a single shot there.

and Ringo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ringo works Wonobi's body with a nice hook.

Ringo clips Wonobi with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Wonobi a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Ringo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wonobi is able to avoid easily.

Ringo throws a push kick but Wonobi slaps the foot to one side.
Wonobi moves out of range as Ringo throws a body kick.
Wonobi misses with a hook.
Ringo connects with a jab.
Wonobi throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Ringo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ringo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Wonobi.
Ringo digs a good hook to Wonobi's body.

Wonobi cracks Ringo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wonobi breaks from the clinch.
Wonobi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wonobi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ringo counters with a right, followed by a huge uppercut that sends Wonobi crashing to the mat! Wonobi is trying to use the ropes to get back to his feet but he's all over the place - the referee has seen enough and has stopped the fight! Ringo screams with a mixture of joy and relief, whilst celebrating with his cornermen.

During a confident post fight interview, George Ringo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
