Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Idi Amin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Thoreson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amin comes to the cage accompanied by Dangerous by Michael Jackson. Idi Amin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mats Thoreson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mats Thoreson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thoreson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

My spies in World Combat Sports Academy inform me that Thoreson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Amin is looking to control Thoreson's arms but Thoreson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Amin has his back to the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Amin's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Thoreson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thoreson manages to end up in side control.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Amin here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Thoreson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Amin prevents Thoreson from moving into mount.

Thoreson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Thoreson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Amin's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Thoreson.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That was a close second round but I would say that Idi Amin will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Amin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Amin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thoreson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thoreson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amin sprawls well. Amin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thoreson gets slowly back to his feet.
Amin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thoreson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Thoreson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Amin!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thoreson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Amin tries a head kick but it misses.
Thoreson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amin sprawls well. Amin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thoreson gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Idi Amin.
I think Amin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
