Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luna Ploy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Wakosky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luna Ploy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Wakosky!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wakosky tries to clinch up but Ploy circles away and keeps his distance.
Ploy half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Wakosky clinches up against the cage.

Wakosky breaks from the clinch.

Ploy clinches up with Wakosky and pushes him back against the cage.
Wakosky is trying to break free.

Wakosky breaks the clinch.
Wakosky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ploy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wakosky looks to throw the jab but Ploy is out of range.
Ploy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wakosky sprawls and moves away.
Wakosky misses with a head kick.
Ploy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wakosky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ploy manages to avoid it.
Wakosky digs a good body shot into Ploy's ribs.
Wakosky misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ploy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bob Wakosky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ploy works Wakosky's body with a nice hook.
Wakosky throws out a powerful jab.
Wakosky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Wakosky tries to get set, Ploy tries to push him back and clinch up but Wakosky manages to avoid the attempt.
Ploy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wakosky misses with a takedown attempt - Ploy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wakosky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ploy defends well and Wakosky ends up having to push Ploy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Ploy on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Wakosky throws the left hand but Ploy avoids the punch easily.

Ploy appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Wakosky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ploy tries to avoid it but Wakosky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ploy to the ground. Ploy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Luna Ploy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Wakosky.

and Ploy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wakosky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ploy tries to roll over but Wakosky keeps him under control.
Ploy is working hard here to advance position.
Wakosky is trying to control the action in half guard but Ploy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wakosky is not content to let Ploy control the position.
Wakosky tries to roll over but Ploy keeps him under control.

Wakosky kicks off Ploy and gets to his feet.
Wakosky walks into a stiff left hand from Ploy.
Wakosky closes the distance and clinches up with Ploy, looking for a takedown. Wakosky pushes Ploy against the cage but Ploy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ploy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wakosky sprawls and moves away.
Wakosky misses with the combination.
Ploy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wakosky.
Wakosky shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ploy pinned against the cage. Ploy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Wakosky dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ploy cracks Wakosky with a right hand to the side of the head.

Wakosky throws a nice looking combination but Ploy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ploy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wakosky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ploy to score with a decent uppercut.
Bob Wakosky seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Ploy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wakosky to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Wakosky winds up and cracks Ploy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Wakosky wants to control from the top but Ploy keeps moving.
Ploy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ploy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wakosky has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bob Wakosky has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ploy misses with a head shot. Wakosky uses the momentum to regain guard.
Ploy is looking to work some ground and pound but Wakosky has wrist control.
Wakosky wants to get back to his feet but Ploy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ploy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wakosky defends it well.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wakosky or perhaps it was just good defense by Ploy, which made it look bad.
Wakosky shoots in looking for a takedown. Ploy tries to sprawl out of it but Wakosky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ploy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ploy has his foot on Wakosky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wakosky works his way back into a safe position though.

I would just about give that final round to Bob Wakosky.
I think Wakosky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
