Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chase Utley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bittor Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Utley comes to the cage accompanied by Paramore - Ignorance. Xavier has chosen Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utley throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Xavier's head.

Xavier closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Utley to the mat! Utley manages to get full guard.
Xavier is fighting to break Utley's control of his arms but Utley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Xavier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Utley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Utley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Utley!

Xavier is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Utley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Xavier will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Utley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Xavier shoots in and gets a takedown into Utley's guard.
Xavier is pushing down on Utley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Utley is fighting to maintain full guard but Xavier has managed to sneak the leg through.

Xavier is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Utley defends well.

Xavier has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Utley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Xavier.

Xavier is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Utley has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Xavier has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Utley taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Xavier doesn't care though - he's delighted!
