Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tweedle Dum!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dum cracks John with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dum misses with the combination.
John is looking to counter the offense by Dum and move into the clinch.
John ducks right into an uppercut from Dum.
John throws a nice looking combination but Dum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dum gets a clinch.
John blocks an elbow strike.
Dum throws an elbow but it misses.
Dum trying to land knees to the body.
Dum lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
John has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dum after a bit of a struggle.
Dum is working John over against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Dum.
Dum lands an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dum makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Dum lands a left hand that snaps the head of John backwards.
John is rocked!
Dum is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dum throws a big uppercut that drops John! More strikes from Dum and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! John lies dazed against the cage as Dum celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tweedle Dum!
