The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marttinen lands a slapping body shot.
Lott looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marttinen is fending him off so far but Lott persists. Nope, Marttinen circles away and we're back to standing.
A big right from Lott misses.
Marttinen misses with an uppercut
and Lott counters with a straight right hand.
Lott has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Marttinen thuds a left hand into Lott's body.
Lott misses with a takedown attempt
and Marttinen counters with a nice uppercut.
Nice shot lands for Marttinen.
Lott slips a jab from Marttinen.
Lott is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Lott closes the distance and clinches.
Marttinen misses with the head strike.
Lott goes for a takedown attempt but Marttinen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Esko Marttinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjoen Lott.
Lott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marttinen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Marttinen lands a nice shot that snaps Lott's head back.
Marttinen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lott moves out of range of the strikes.
Lott swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Good standup being displayed there by Marttinen as he connects with a hook.

Lott is rocked!
Marttinen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Marttinen steps in with a hook that catches Lott right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marttinen follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Lott looks absolutely devastated.
