Teixeira has chosen Natiruts - Beija Flor as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Teixeira tries to counter with a clinch but Rush shakes him off and moves away.
Rush looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rush throws a front kick that sends Teixeira stumbling back into the cage.
Teixeira sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rush doesn't manage to clinch there - Teixeira circles away.
Dorian Rush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rush misses with a jab, cross combination.
Teixeira is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rush fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Teixeira changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rush throws a body kick that misses.
Teixeira only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Rush looks to land a body kick but Teixeira moved away.

Rush gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rush wants to break free but Teixeira has control.

Teixeira has picked Rush up - he's going for a ride! Teixeira dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Teixeira stops Rush from getting back to his feet.

Rush is defending against the submission attempts here by Teixeira.
Rush knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Teixeira on the ground.

Teixeira is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rush is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
