Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Putra Rajasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rajasa comes to the cage accompanied by Bed of Roses. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Putra Rajasa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Pukki!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rajasa slaps away a takedown attempt from Pukki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rajasa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pukki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rajasa. Rajasa obviously looking to wear him down.
Rajasa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pukki manages to avoid it.
Rajasa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rajasa misses with a body kick.
Rajasa throws the kick towards the body but Pukki avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rajasa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pukki's sensitive parts.

and Pukki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pukki throwing shots but Rajasa is blocking nicely.
Rajasa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pukki.

Pukki trying to control from half guard but Rajasa is working away.
Pukki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Pukki is trying to work for a kimura but Rajasa is defending well.
Rajasa wants to improve his position but Pukki is controlling well.
Pukki wants to free his trapped foot but Rajasa is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rajasa is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pukki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pukki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pukki thows a huge punch but Rajasa dodges it nicely.
Pukki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pukki looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Pukki is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rajasa keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Pukki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rajasa sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pukki working the head and body with strikes.
Pukki wants to pass to mount but Rajasa is defending the position.
Rajasa is looking to get back to full guard here but Pukki has managed to pass to side control instead.
Rajasa parries the strikes from Pukki easily there. Pukki is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rajasa to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pukki swings around for an armbar but Rajasa sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pukki's guard.
Rajasa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rajasa's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Pukki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


That's four minutes gone in the round.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pukki is trying to work for a kimura but Rajasa is defending well.
Pukki is trying to control the action in half guard but Rajasa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rajasa tries to roll over but Pukki keeps him under control.

Pukki is working for a kimura but Rajasa is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Pukki dominated that round.
That's time! Rajasa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A looping hook to the body misses from Rajasa. Pukki does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pukki is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rajasa's half guard.
Rajasa is pressing down on Pukki's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Pukki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rajasa holds on and takes a little breather.
Pukki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rajasa looking for a sweep. Not yet Rajasa, not yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pukki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pukki trying to control but Rajasa is working from the bottom.
Pukki lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Pukki trying to control the position from guard on top but Rajasa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pukki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pukki has gone for a leg lock! Rajasa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pukki's guard.

Pukki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rajasa is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rajasa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pukki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pukki is on top in guard.

Pukki stands and throws Rajasa's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pukki is working to tighten his grip on Rajasa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rajasa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pukki is really squeezing tight and eventually Rajasa passes out! Pukki breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Andy Pukki!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Andy Pukki waved his t-shirt featuring Namunamu Clothing 's logo in front of the cameras.
