Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Scarpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chelios comes to the cage accompanied by In Waves. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarpa throws a right hand that misses
and Chelios counters with a head kick.
Scarpa's coach down at The Shield was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Scarpa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Chelios swats away the attempt to clinch by Scarpa.
Chelios tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Scarpa manages to circle out of the way.

Scarpa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chelios seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

That was a close round but I would say that Chev Chelios will probably get the nod.

Chelios feints and then cracks Scarpa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scarpa down.
Scarpa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chelios as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Chelios. No joy for Scarpa on that attempt.
Chelios walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Chelios sneaks out the side door and pushes Scarpa away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chelios creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Scarpa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chelios tries to avoid it but Scarpa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chelios to the ground. Chelios escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chelios fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Scarpa to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Scarpa looks to clinch but Chelios throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Scarpa taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
