Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladislav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladislav Volkov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladislav Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping King at a distance.
Volkov is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.

Volkov closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage.
King blocks a body shot from Volkov.
King avoiding damage as Volkov throws knees to the body.
Volkov is struggling to control the position.
A nice glancing elbow lands by King.

It looks like Vladislav Volkov has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Volkov leaning against his opponent.
Volkov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but King gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Volkov stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Volkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Volkov drives through and clinches with King against the cage.
Volkov is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Volkov breaks the clinch.
Volkov shoots for a takedown but King saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
King takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
King moves out of range as Volkov throws a body kick.
It looked like King was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Volkov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in King's half guard.
King keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

King looking for subs from the bottom but Volkov mounts him!
Volkov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for King because Volkov loaded up on that one.
Volkov looking to control but King is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Volkov throwing strikes but King bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Volkov pulls King in close to his closed guard and prevents King from doing any damage or advancing position.
Volkov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Volkov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Volkov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Volkov looking to control but King passes into half guard.

King is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Volkov defends it well.
Volkov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. King is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Volkov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but King pulls his head out easily.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Volkov has one foot on King's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and King counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Volkov falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
