Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Stonewall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tin Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stonewall's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shadow Play by the Killers. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fredrick Stonewall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tin Mann!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stonewall tries to clinch up but Mann circles away and keeps his distance.
Mann fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Mann counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mann.

Mann drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stonewall dives on top into guard.
Stonewall wants to get up but he can't break Mann's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Stonewall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mann swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mann looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stonewall passes into half guard.
Stonewall winds up and cracks Mann with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mann is staying active underneath Stonewall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mann makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mann.
Stonewall throws a big right hand that misses.

Mann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mann looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stonewall passes into side control.

Stonewall stands up and beckons Mann to his feet.

Stonewall shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Stonewall stands up from half guard.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mann checks a leg kick.

Mann shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mann was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stonewall has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Mann has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Mann looks gassed!
Stonewall manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mann's guard. Nice work there by Stonewall.

Mann isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stonewall stacks Mann on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stonewall!

Stonewall is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mann has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mann looks to move to half guard but instead Stonewall has passed into mount! Damn!
Mann is desperately trying to improve his position but Stonewall has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stonewall sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mann is desperately trying to improve his position but Stonewall has a good base and remains in mount.
Stonewall lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mann hang on?
Mann can't escape the position.
Stonewall in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fredrick Stonewall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stonewall misses with a takedown

and Mann counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stonewall's guard now.
Stonewall wants to sweep but no luck.
Stonewall throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Mann postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stonewall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mann, into his guard.
Stonewall wants to control from the top but Mann keeps moving.

Mann is looking for a triangle here but Stonewall uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Mann is breathing heavily.

Stonewall stands up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stonewall scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mann is looking for a sweep.
An elbow from Stonewall crashes against the mat.

Stonewall stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Mann with a lazy takedown attempt

and Stonewall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Stonewall stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stonewall stands and throws Mann's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Stonewall has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Fredrick Stonewall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tin Mann.

Mann tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Stonewall presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mann is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stonewall tries to control but Mann wriggling away.
Mann bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Mann passes Stonewall's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Mann is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Stonewall has managed to free his arm - good work.

Stonewall is defending against the submission attempts here by Mann.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stonewall won't allow Mann to pass to mount.
Stonewall wants to control but Mann is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Stonewall has one foot on Mann's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stonewall moves into range and clinches up with Mann.

Stonewall drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fredrick Stonewall dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mann drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stonewall dives on top into guard.
Stonewall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stonewall wants to stand but Mann has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Stonewall won't allow Mann to sweep him here.

Mann is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Stonewall rolls with it to try and escape but Mann cranks on the arm and Stonewall is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tin Mann!
