Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammad Kango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whitaker comes to the ring accompanied by "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragon Force. Kango is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Everyone Nose. Shane Whitaker is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Whitaker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhammad Kango!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker moves out of range as Kango strikes.
Kango closes this distance looking for a takedown but Whitaker circles away.
Kango goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kango throws a head kick but Whitaker moves out of range.
Whitaker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Whitaker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Whitaker wants to take a breather but Kango is having none of it.
Whitaker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Whitaker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kango has his takedown stuffed

and Whitaker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kango's guard now.

Whitaker wants to control from the top but Kango keeps moving.
Whitaker stands up over Kango, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kango looking to hit a scissor sweep but Whitaker is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Kango is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Whitaker drives through and clinches with Kango against the ropes.
Whitaker prevents the takedown attempt.
Shane Whitaker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhammad Kango.
Whitaker is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kango fails to pull guard.
Whitaker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kango blocks it with crossed arms.
Whitaker tries to land a knee to the head but Kango blocks with his arms.
Kango is pressed up against the ropes. Whitaker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kango down to the mat. Kango avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kango will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kango pushes Whitaker up against the ropes in a clinch.

Kango escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kango tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Whitaker avoids the head kick by Kango.
Kango throws a lazy head kick

so Whitaker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kango looks gassed!

Whitaker won't allow Kango to sweep him here.
Whitaker postures up in Kango's guard and throws a big left but Kango blocks it.
Kango is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kango has his feet on Whitaker's thighs here. He's pushed Whitaker off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Whitaker screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
