Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Tyrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chad Tyrell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chad Tyrell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Tyrell lunges at Bang with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bang's hand.
Tyrell thows a leg kick but Bang checks it
and Bang counters with a solid body kick.
Chad Tyrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bang fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tyrell stuffs the takedown attempt from Bang. Bang gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bang fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyrell avoids it really well and circles away.
Chad Tyrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miro Bang.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyrell throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bang's head.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tyrell as he avoids it easily.

Tyrell seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tyrell dives on top into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bang has his foot on Tyrell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tyrell works his way back into a safe position though.

Tyrell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tyrell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bang is on top in guard.

Tyrell wants to control from the top but Bang keeps moving.

Tyrell lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That was a close round but I would say that Chad Tyrell will probably get the nod.
That's time! Tyrell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyrell sprawls well. Tyrell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bang gets slowly back to his feet.
Bang tries to clinch but Tyrell moves out of range.

Tyrell connects with a right hand. Bang shakes it off.
Tyrell leaves Bang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tyrell throws a low kick but Bang moves out of range easily.
Bang darts in looking for a takedown but Tyrell gets double underhooks and turns Bang into the cage.

Chad Tyrell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bang misses with a takedown
and Tyrell counters with a slapping leg kick.
Bang fails with the takedown.
Tyrell tried to counter with a leg kick but Bang avoided it.

Tyrell looks to score with a jab to the body but Bang is just out of range.
Bang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tyrell pinned against the cage. Tyrell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tyrell throws a wild body kick that Bang sees coming a mile off.
Chad Tyrell is winning the standup battle so far.
Bang takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bang looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyrell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tyrell throws a wild body kick that Bang sees coming a mile off.
Bang changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Tyrell swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Bang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tyrell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Tyrell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyrell has managed to get both his arms back between Bang's legs - danger averted.

Tyrell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bang's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyrell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Tyrell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Tyrell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bang closes the distance and pushes Tyrell back into the cage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tyrell lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bang takes an elbow to the forehead.
Tyrell lands a shot to the body.
Tyrell creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bang's defenses.
Tyrell lands a nice uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bang.
Tyrell lands with a light punch inside.
Tyrell misses with a body punch.
Tyrell throws a punch but it's blocked by Bang.
Bang tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bang wants a takedown.
Tyrell lands a nice shot to the body.
Tyrell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bang can do to turn this around?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tyrell digs a right hand underneath Bang's ribcage. Bang let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Bang tries to pull guard but Tyrell won't allow it.
Bang tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tyrell lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Tyrell scores with a nice hook to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chad Tyrell clearly takes that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Tyrell throws a powerful right kick. Bang tried to block low but the kick was high! Bang was taken right off of his feet! Tyrell jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chad Tyrell!
