The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Castilho rushes Micropop and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've been informed that Micropop has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Micropop lands a damaging elbow.
Micropop scores with a hook to the body.
Castilho blocks a body shot from Micropop.

With the fighters up against the cage, Castilho throws an elbow but misses.
Micropop tries to work over Castilho's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Micropop stalks Castilho and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Castilho's face. Castilho staggers backwards, shaken.

Castilho pushes off an throws an elbow but Micropop leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Micropop tries to land knees in the clinch but Castilho avoids the damage to the body.

Micropop lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Castilho breaks the clinch.
Micropop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Castilho takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Micropop throws a right and a left that both miss.
A little feinted left hand from Castilho on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Micropop throws a series of punches but Castilho moves out of range.

Micropop throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Micropop scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Castilho doesn't seem bothered though.

Castilho using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Micropop has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Castilho creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Micropop throws a punch but it's blocked by Castilho.

A head punch on the inside from Micropop fails to land.
Micropop dips a shoulder and cracks Castilho with a mighty uppercut! Castilho falls back against the cage and Micropop unloads with a barrage of strikes! Castilho is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Micropop screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

After the fight, Klas Micropop was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
