The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weeks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zelaskes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zelaskes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nice straight punches there by Weeks. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Weeks.
The fighters circling - Weeks throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Freddie Weeks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weeks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Weeks misses with a straight right.
Weeks moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zelaskes gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Zelaskes has gone for a leg lock! Weeks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zelaskes's guard.
Weeks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Zelaskes is looking to cinch up a triangle. Weeks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Zelaskes's body to avoid the submission. Zelaskes has instead reached around Weeks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Zelaskes arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Chico Zelaskes!
Chico Zelaskes bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
