The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Cierpka or perhaps it was just good defense by Pettis, which made it look bad.
Cierpka tries for a takedown but Pettis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cierpka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pettis swivels and escapes.
Anthony Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krystian Cierpka.
Cierpka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pettis avoids it really well and circles away.
Cierpka fails with a takedown attempt.
Cierpka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pettis can pounce on him.
Pettis throws a one two combo.

It looks like Krystian Cierpka has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch lands to the side of Cierpka 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cierpka shoots in looking for a takedown but Pettis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cierpka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cierpka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pettis as he jumps to the side.
Cierpka walks into a jab.

Pettis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cierpka at a distance.
Cierpka is still on wobbly legs! Can Pettis finish him?
Cierpka misses with a takedown attempt
and Pettis counters with a crisp right that sends Cierpka to the canvas! Pettis follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
