Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark tries to clinch up
and Svensson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stark shoots in for a takedown but Svensson shows good takedown defense.
Stark shoots in looking for a takedown but Svensson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stark's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stark has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Stark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stark tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Svensson swivels and escapes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark is looking to clinch but Svensson is avoiding it.
Svensson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Svensson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stark looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Svensson looks to land a combination. Stark sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Stark misses the shot to the body.
Svensson stalks Stark and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stark's face. Stark staggers backwards, shaken.
Svensson clobbers Stark with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stark tries to clinch there but Svensson circles away.
Svensson is looking for the big counter here.
Stark takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Stark shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Svensson defends it nicely.
Stark is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stark shoots in but no luck this time.
Stark walks into a stiff left hand from Svensson.

Stark changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Svensson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stark looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Svensson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Svensson keeps working.
Svensson is trying to improve his position.
Svensson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Stark is working to tighten his grip on Svensson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Svensson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stark is really squeezing tight and eventually Svensson passes out! Stark breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Jose Stark got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
