Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mason Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinny Bronson!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bronson.
Jab, jab by Dixon - just one landing.
Bronson slips a jab from Dixon.
Sloppy strikes from Bronson. Those never looked like landing.
Dixon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bronson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bronson throws a leg kick but Dixon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dixon lands a two punch combo.
Bronson misses with the combination.

Bronson dives in and scores a takedown into Dixon's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bronson sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Bronson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dixon trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bronson manages to pass to mount!
Bronson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bronson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Dixon dips to his left and cracks Bronson with an uppercut!
Dixon swats away the attempt to clinch by Bronson.
Bronson scores with a head kick.

Dixon tries to sprawl but Bronson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dixon wants to improve his position but Bronson is controlling well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bronson is trying to work for a kimura but Dixon is defending well.
Well, if Bronson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bronson prevents Dixon from standing back up.

Bronson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bronson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dixon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bronson get's back to his feet.

Dixon gets caught flat footed, as Bronson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Dixon is looking to stand back up but Bronson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dixon.

Bronson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bronson passes to side control.
Dixon can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vinny Bronson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dixon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Dixon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bronson pushes down on Dixon's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bronson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dixon tries to kick Bronson off but Bronson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Dixon tries to roll over but Bronson keeps him under control.
Dixon is trying to escape back to his feet but Bronson uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Bronson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bronson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bronson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bronson just content to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bronson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
More stalling from Bronson.
Bronson with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
Dixon defending against the ground and pound.
Dixon bucks up and tries to throw Bronson off but instead Bronson has got his back!
Bronson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dixon's body.
Dixon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bronson on the ground.
Dixon is trapped and Bronson is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Dixon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
I would not like to be Dixon right now.
Dixon can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bronson biding his time, controlling Dixon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vinny Bronson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


A head kick misses from Bronson.

Bronson has managed to clinch.
Dixon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Dixon stops a takedown attempt from Bronson.

Bronson pulls Dixon into guard.
Bronson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Bronson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dixon defends it well.
Bronson prevents Dixon from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon wants to stand back up but Bronson manages to pass into side control.

Bronson lands a few punches from side control.
Bronson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bronson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Bronson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bronson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dixon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dixon wants to control but Bronson is having none of it.

Dixon wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bronson.
Bronson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Dixon tries to improve his position but Bronson has taken his back! Bronson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Dixon tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bronson pushes Dixon away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Vinny Bronson!
An out of breath Vinny Bronson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
