PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Tel� (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parmalee Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tel� kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Michel Telo - Ai se eu te pego. The crowd seem to be enjoying Sackett's choice of entrance music: RATM: Know Your Enemy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett throws a leg kick that is checked
and Tel� connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Parmalee Sackett has been cut.
Tel� lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Tel� looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tel� throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sackett misses with an uppercut. Tel� saw that one coming.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sackett crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tel� - the referee stops the clock and Sackett gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tel�. Sackett manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Tel� feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
