The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John moves away from the strike by LN.
John throws a nice looking combination but LN bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
LN tries to counter with a takedown but John is quick to defend against it.
Chris John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John fails with an attempt to clinch.
LN changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
LN tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but John was well out of range. Poor timing from LN.
LN looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

John throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

John jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as LN walks away with a smile on his face. John gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
LN looks to throw the jab but John is out of range.
John scores with a hook.
LN is on the wrong end of a nice combination from John.

John has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. LN avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

John had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. LN defends it easily.
John has his foot on LN's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. LN works his way back into a safe position though.

LN is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but John is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
