Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Jingles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jingles has chosen Ride the Lightening-Metallica as his entrance music. Mr Jingles is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mr Jingles!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jingles feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.
Jingles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nelson was well out of range. Poor timing from Jingles.
Jingles is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jingles doesn't manage to clinch there - Nelson circles away.
Jingles tries a head kick but it misses.
Jingles moves in looking to clinch but Nelson pushes him off.

Nelson drops Jingles with a beautiful combination! Jingles stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nelson is looking for the KO!


It looks like Mr Jingles has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nelson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jingles manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Nelson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nelson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jingles wants to stand but Nelson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nelson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Nelson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jingles dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nelson. That did some damage!

It looked like Nelson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jingles tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nelson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jingles is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nelson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nelson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nelson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jingles decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Jingles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nelson pinned against the cage. Nelson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jingles dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nelson. That did some damage!
Jingles tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nelson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jingles somewhat.
Nelson shoots in but no luck this time.

Nelson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Jingles has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Nelson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jingles.

Jingles throws a nice looking combination but Nelson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Nelson shoots in and drives through. Jingles sprawls well.
Nelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Jingles sprawls well. He's pushed Nelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mr Jingles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jingles has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
