Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Pascuak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pascuak shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Dean to counter with a crisp jab.
Dean misses with a low kick.

Pascuak clinches up with Dean and pushes him back against the cage.

Pascuak jumps into guard, dragging Dean to the mat.
Pascuak preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pascuak keeping moving, preventing Dean from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pascuak lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pascuak wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving.

Dean is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pascuak is aware though and is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pascuak drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dean works over Pascuak's head and body with a nice combination.

Dean pushes Pascuak up against the cage in a clinch.

Pascuak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pascuak moves out of range of the body kick from Dean .

Dean feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pascuak doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Dean tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pascuak paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pascuak tries to sprawl but Dean drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Pascuak is not content to let Dean control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean prevents Pascuak from improving his position.

Dean looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pascuak gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pascuak doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Pascuak controls Dean momentarily but Dean frees himself.

Dean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pascuak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dean has managed to get both his arms back between Pascuak's legs - danger averted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dean closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pascuak to the mat! Pascuak manages to get full guard.

Pascuak has his foot on Dean 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dean works his way back into a safe position though.
Pascuak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dean manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dean bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pascuak's guard.
Dean has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pascuak blocks the body kick.
Pascuak keeps the fight on the outside.
Pascuak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dean throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pascuak circles away quickly and effectively.
Dean fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pascuak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Pascuak takes the fight into the clinch.
Dean tries to break free but Pascuak pushes him back against the cage.
Pascuak prevents the takedown attempt.

Dean tries to pull guard but Pascuak holds him up against the cage and eventually Dean drops back down to his feet.
Pascuak is leaning against Dean and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Pascuak has Dean pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dean manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pascuak is pushing Dean up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Billy Dean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pascuak darts in looking for a takedown but Dean gets double underhooks and turns Pascuak into the cage.

Pascuak is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Dean seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pascuak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
